Softball Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Mountain View Bruins didn't have quite enough to beat the Green Valley Gators and fell 10-9.

Saralynn Hair made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emily Telford, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Even though they lost, Mountain View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in five consecutive games.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Green Valley, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Mountain View didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-8 victory against Skyline on the 14th. As for Green Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-12 win against Kearns on the 15th.
