Given Cedar Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 476th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Robert Conrad, who scored 31 points along with two steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Kenji Franklin was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Cedar Creek is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season. As for Elgin, they dropped their record down to 15-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
