Diller-Odell is 1-9 against Southern since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Diller-Odell Griffin will head out on the road to take on the Southern Raiders. Diller-Odell is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
Diller-Odell suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 72-34 loss at the hands of Johnson-Brock. While losing is never fun, Diller-Odell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while Johnson-Brock is ranked 18th).
The losing side was boosted by Cooper Morgan, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. Tj Vitosh was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Southern scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down Lewiston 62-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Southern.
Diller-Odell has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Southern, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Diller-Odell couldn't quite finish off Southern in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 and fell 52-49. Can Diller-Odell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
