Softball Recap: Byron Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Byron barely beat Stewartville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bears' pitchers stepped up to hand the Tigers a 6-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Byron's third in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Stewartville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Byron has already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Zumbrota-Mazeppa on the 16th. As for Stewartville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-2 victory against Goodhue on the 16th.
