The King's Way Christian Knights will head out on the road to take on the Mountain View Thunder at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
King's Way Christian proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 12) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Castle Rock, sneaking past 2-1. Those two runs were actually the fewest the Knights have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Noah Myers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.
Meanwhile, Mountain View had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Timberwolves 5-3.
Caleb Long looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has become a key player for Mountain View: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-7 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Legend Haskew, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Brendon Lawson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Mountain View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
The win was the fifth in a row for King's Way Christian, bringing their record up to 9-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Mountain View, their record is now 5-8.
Mountain View's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: King's Way Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .356. It's a different story for Mountain View, though, as they've only averaged .248. Will they be able to contain King's Way Christian's hitters?
