Baseball Recap: Fayetteville Street Christian's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Fayetteville Street Christian came into this matchup off a tough seven-run defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Tabernacle Christian Rams by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 11-5.

Logan Morrison made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Morrison is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Lane Morrison also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Fayetteville Street Christian's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-4. As for Tabernacle Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Coming up, Fayetteville Street Christian will venture away from home to square off against True Gospel Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots are facing the Grizzly at the right time seeing as the Grizzly are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Tabernacle Christian, they will be playing at home against Shining Light Baptist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: the Sharks will have lost three straight heading into Tuesday's contest.
