The Orem Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the West Ranch Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
Last Thursday, Orem faced Dixie in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Orem skirted past Dixie 55-53.
Orem's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chance Dastrup, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten assists. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Tate Robinson, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, even though Valencia scored an imposing 63 points last Friday, West Ranch still came out on top. West Ranch walked away with a 74-63 win over Valencia. Given West Ranch's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Valencia is ranked 356th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Orem's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for West Ranch, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
