There's no place like home for the Glen Lake Lakers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They escaped with a win on Thursday against Frankfort by the margin of a single free throw, 30-29. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Glen Lake has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glen Lake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eleanor Valkner, who scored four points along with 14 rebounds and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Raymond, who scored nine points.
Glen Lake now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Frankfort, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glen Lake will be home for the holidays to greet Brethren at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Frankfort will be home for the holidays to greet Manistee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
