Spruce is 3-0 against Adams since November of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Spruce Timberwolves will be home for the holidays to greet the Adams Cougars at 8:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Spruce ended up a good deal behind West Mesquite and lost 37-19. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Spruce in their matchups with West Mesquite: they've now lost six in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Mesoulay Williams, who scored eight points. She scored a full 42.1% of Spruce's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Tionnie Williams was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Adams, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-27 loss to Conrad on Tuesday. Adams has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Spruce's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Adams, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Spruce came out on top in a nail-biter against Adams in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 45-43. Will Spruce repeat their success, or does Adams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
