The Roosevelt Roughriders stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They blew past Ron Brown 81-41 on the road. With Roosevelt ahead 52-27 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roosevelt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sean Hall, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jamall Price, Jr., who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Several Monarchs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lennox Walker, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walker has scored all season.
Roosevelt has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Ron Brown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roosevelt on the road again on Friday and play against Coolidge at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Coolidge is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 67.1 points per game. As for Ron Brown, they will head out on the road to challenge Banneker at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
