Flatirons Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Prospect Ridge Academy Miners 46-0. The matchup marked the Bison's most dominant win of the season.

Flatirons Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Caleb Doughty, Isaiah Figueroa, Blaise Doughty, and Jack Joyner picked up one apiece. Figueroa also made five total tackles, which is notable because Flatirons Academy is 4-2 when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise.

When it comes to explaining why Prospect Ridge Academy lost, don't look at Josh Ranjit. Despite the final result, he rushed for 81 yards. Ranjit really tore up the turf during one magnificent 79-yard run.

Flatirons Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.0 points on average over those games. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Coming up, Flatirons Academy will head out on the road to take on Limon at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Badgers' defense has only allowed 8.8 points per game this season, so the Bison's offense will have their work cut out for them. Prospect Ridge Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
