The Strawn Greyhounds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. The match between Strawn and Clifton wasn't particularly close, with Strawn falling 44-25.
Clifton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kate Humphreys, who scored eight points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Humphreys has scored all season. Camy Barsh was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Strawn's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Clifton, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Strawn will face off against Bluff Dale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bluff Dale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Wednesday. Clifton will be staying on the road on January 5, 2024 to face off against Keene at 6:15 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Keene will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
