Trinity Christian got their first taste of in-conference action  on Friday and they started things off strong. They were the clear victors by  a  19-13 margin over the Fort Worth Christian Cardinals. Considering the Lions have won seven matches by more than five  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 The team  relied heavily on  Bri Byers, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, six  RBI,  and three  runs. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Emily Karr, who  scored four  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-4.
Trinity Christian pushed their record up to 7-6-1 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Fort Worth Christian,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
