The Thunderbird Titans won the last time they faced the Shadow Mountain Matadors, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Thunderbird strolled past Shadow Mountain with points to spare, taking the game 36-19.
Lylah Pierce and Tess Newport certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Pierce scored four points along with three steals and two blocks, while Newport scored two points along with five rebounds and four blocks. That's the first time this season that Pierce posted two or more blocks.
Thunderbird has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Shadow Mountain, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-13.
Thunderbird will square off against Paradise Honors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Paradise Honors will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Shadow Mountain, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenway at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
