After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dalton, the Fieldston Eagles were happy to have found some success on Monday. They came out on top against Poly Prep Country Day by a score of 60-48. That's another feather in the cap for Fieldston, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Fieldston was led to victory by Jade ling Eng-stewart and Sarah Weinick. Eng-stewart scored 20 points, while Weinick scored 27 points.
Fieldston's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Poly Prep Country Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Fieldston will be playing in front of their home fans against Hackley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Poly Prep Country Day, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dalton at 6:00 p.m. on February 16th.
