Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mayville). Everything went their way against the Caseville Eagles on Monday as they made off with a 15-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.
Luka Campbell was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Mayville: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-8 otherwise.
In other batting news, Gavin Wager was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.
