The Ridgedale Rockets will head out on the road to challenge the Elgin Comets at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Ridgedale waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Ridgemont by a score of 43-32.
Meanwhile, Elgin came tearing into Wednesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 40-29 win over Columbus Academy.
Ridgedale is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Elgin, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.
Ridgedale came out on top in a nail-biter against Elgin when the teams last played back in December of 2023, sneaking past 53-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ridgedale since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
