Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dymally). Everything went their way against the Hawkins Hawks on Monday as they made off with a 30-18 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Challengers with their most commanding win of the season.
The team relied heavily on Melanie Velez, who went 5-for-6 with three doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Rihanna Ruiz, who went 5-for-6 with one double.
The win (which was Dymally's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for Hawkins, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
