The East Bay Indians''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against Bloomingdale by a score of 28-20. That result was just more of the same for these two, as East Bay also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Jaelin Sneed had a dynamite game for East Bay, rushing for 212 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Sneed was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Laurent, who gained 111 total yards and a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Bloomingdale saw an underclassman step up: Dillon Rose Bailey threw for 330 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.9% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Darien Martin, who picked up 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
East Bay has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Bloomingdale, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-8.
East Bay will face off against King at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. King will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 499th, while East Bay is ranked 243rd). Bloomingdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
