On Tuesday, The Awty International faced Episcopal in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Awty International Rams lost  3-0 to the Episcopal Knights. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  two weeks ago.
 While The Awty International ultimately came up short, they really made  Episcopal work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-18,  25-22.
  Doruk Arikan paced The Awty International's offense, picking up 12 kills. Arikan got some help from 
 Nathaniel Black and his 28 assists. Finally, 
 Dhruv Prathipati and 
 John Sherwood kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked three attacks.
 The Awty International's loss dropped their record down to 18-3. As for Episcopal, their victory was  their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 10-1.
 The Awty International will host Casady  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Episcopal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
