The Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Mandarin 88-50. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Trinity Christian Academy in their matchups with Mandarin: they've now lost six in a row.
Several Conquerors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joshua Moricette, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Martinez, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mandarin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ridge Patterson, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Patterson has scored all season. Caden Charlton was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
Trinity Christian Academy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 9-4. As for Mandarin, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Trinity Christian Academy and Stanton will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Stanton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Mandarin, Mandarin and Viera will face off at 4:30 p.m. on January 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
