A Season-Best Effort from Everson Mathis Leads Village Christian over Heritage Christian
On Friday, Village Christian got the W thanks in part to Everson Mathis playing the best football he has all season. Mathis rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 142 yards and three touchdowns.

He has become a key player for Capistrano Valley Christian: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 receiving yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
