League recap: Goose Creek tops Stratford to extend winning streak

Goose Creek extended the longest winning streak in AAAA Region VII this week by beating Stratford, 31-23. The victory was the 11th in a row for the Gators.

Wando took down Sumter 52-34 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Goose Creek's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Gators feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dantez Bennamon has thrown for 832 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Tramel Terry has 38 catches for 550 yards. Caleb Kinlaw leads the league in rushing with 876 yards.

The Warriors led the league in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on the Fighting Gamecocks.
