Calvert got themselves on the board against Wynford on Monday, but Wynford never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Senecas might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Calvert's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was AJ Shoemaker, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Shoemaker is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Calvert always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory (which was Calvert's eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Wynford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Coming up, Calvert will be playing at home against Mohawk at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Senecas 2.7, the Warriors 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Wynford, they will head out on the road to square off against Plymouth at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
