The Newton HomeSchool Panthers can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They blew past Ark City Christian Academy 64-18 at home. With that victory, Newton HomeSchool brought their scoring average up to 50.8 points per game.
Newton HomeSchool had a senior duo take command as Jaquale Schumm scored 11 points along with 26 rebounds and 11 steals and Alex Bungard scored 22 points along with four steals. Schumm also posted eight+ assists for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Mayhew, who scored five points along with three steals.
Newton HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Ark City Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Newton HomeSchool's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the at 3:30 p.m. on February 10th. Ark City Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
