The Stevens Cardinals will take on Campbell at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Stevens made easy work of Inter-Lakes and carried off an 11-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Lakers: they've now won five in a row.
Carson Beeman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Beeman was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, John Andrews and Logan Minkler did most of the damage at the plate: Andrews went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Minkler went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Stevens kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Inter-Lakes only managed five.
Meanwhile, Campbell sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Derryfield on Monday. That's two games straight that Campbell has won by just one run.
Michael Grace was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Braydon White, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Campbell now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Stevens, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
