Basketball Recap: Central Noble Piles Up the Points Against West Noble

Central Noble had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They claimed a resounding 50-18 victory over the West Noble Chargers. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 20 points or more this season.

Central Noble's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kierra Bolen led the charge by putting up 15 points. That's the most points Bolen has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Swank, who posted 11 points.

Despite the defeat, West Noble had strong showings from Elyse Mead, who earned six points along with five boards and four steals, and Ava Delong, who had six points and five rebounds. Mead is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played.

Central Noble pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.5 points. As for West Noble, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10.

Central Noble will welcome Wawasee at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. As for West Noble, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-22 loss against Elkhart on the 21st.
