Glenville-Emmons is 0-9 against Kingsland since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Glenville-Emmons Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Kingsland Knights at 7:15 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Glenville-Emmons has not done well against Lanesboro recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Glenville-Emmons enjoyed a cozy 64-50 win over Lanesboro.
Meanwhile, even though Schaeffer Academy scored an imposing 55 points on Monday, Kingsland still came out on top. Kingsland took their matchup against Schaeffer Academy 68-55. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Kingsland.
Kingsland can attribute much of their success to Jayden Brink, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Courtland Drury-DeBoer, who scored 11 points.
Glenville-Emmons' victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2. As for Kingsland, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Things could have been worse for Glenville-Emmons, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-33 loss to Kingsland in their previous matchup back in January. Can Glenville-Emmons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
