South suffered a tough 73-53 defeat at the hands of Kelly Walsh. South has struggled against Kelly Walsh recently, as their matchup on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Kelly Walsh found their leader in underclassman Mason Eager, who scored 23 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Alvar, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
South's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kelly Walsh, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
South will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Evanston at 12:00 p.m. As for Kelly Walsh, they will take on Thunder Basin at 6:40 p.m. on Thursday.
