The Delphi Community Oracles's four-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They walked away with a 56-45 win over Pioneer. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Delphi Community also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Delphi Community was led to victory by Walker Jones and Walter Gleason. Jones scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and five steals, while Gleason scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that Gleason scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keigan Watts, who scored seven points.
Delphi Community's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Pioneer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Delphi Community will stay at home for another game and welcome Winamac at 4:00 p.m. on December 23rd. Winamac is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Pioneer will take on Rossville in a holiday battle at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at. Hopefully Rossville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday.
