Basketball Recap: Hanover Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Hanover needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Cooper Bruna. The Hanover Wildcats took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging an 81-33 win over the Washington County Tigers thanks in part to Bruna, who went 9 for 15 on his way to 23 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kadrick Cohorst, who went 5 of 11 en route to 11 points. Those 11 points gave him a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Washington County still got an impressive performance from Octavien Cardenas, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Hanover's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Washington County, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

After both having extra time off, Hanover and Frankfort will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another on January 3rd. Hanover is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season. As for Washington County, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Axtell at 7:00 p.m. on January 3rd.
