Baseball Recap: Cleveland Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Cleveland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Medford Tigers on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Clippers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Cleveland let Brennan Kortuem and Caleb Connor run wild. Kortuem went 1-for-3 with four RBI and two runs, while Connor went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that Connor has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Kortuem, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Cleveland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Cleveland's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Medford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
