On Tuesday, the Idea Timberwolves faced SEED DC in a battle between two of the state's top teams. In a tight match that could have gone either way, Idea made off with a 46-45 win over SEED DC. The victory was familiar territory for Idea who now have four in a row.
Idea's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asaisha Greene, who scored 25 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Greene has scored at least a third of Idea's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Belt, who scored 16 points.
Idea is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for SEED DC, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
Idea does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for SEED DC, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Washington Leadership Academy at 5:30 p.m. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Washington Leadership Academy: 22.6, SEED DC: 26.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
