Pleasanton has gone 9-0-1 against Pearsall recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles will head out to challenge the Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pleasanton has 16 straight wins, Pearsall has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Pleasanton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Somerset on Monday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 6-0 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.
Somerset's batters probably weren't too happy with Cade Segura, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (he gave up a single walk). Segura has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Erik Coronado, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).
Meanwhile, Pearsall lost 14-7 to Carrizo Springs on Monday.
Pearsall saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Vela, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run was Vela's first of the season.
Pleasanton pushed their record up to 22-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Pearsall, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-19.
Pearsall's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pleasanton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. It's a different story for Pearsall, though, as they've only averaged .237. Will they be able to contain Pleasanton's hitters?
Everything went Pleasanton's way against Pearsall when the teams last played back in March, as Pleasanton made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
