The Overbrook Rams entered their tilt with the Penns Grove Red Devils with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Overbrook enjoyed a cozy 53-37 victory over the Red Devils on Thursday. Given Overbrook's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Red Devils are ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Penns Grove still got an impressive performance from Giomar Conrad, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Willie Slocum, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Overbrook has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Penns Grove, they dropped their record down to 6-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Overbrook will square off against the Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Penns Grove, they will head out on the road to take on the Braves at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Williamstown has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
