The Pine Grove Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the New Site Royals at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It was a proper cat-fight when Pine Grove challenged Biggersville on Friday. The Panthers walked away with a 9-5 win over the Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Ty Clemmer and Ayden Jones made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Clemmer tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Jones didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. At the plate, Clemmer went 1-for-4 with one home run, while Jones got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs. That home run was Clemmer's first of the season.
In other batting news, Talen Wilkerson and Trevor Shinall did most of the damage at the plate: Wilkerson went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Shinall got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI Shinall has posted since back in February. Riggs Childs was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.
Pine Grove hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Biggersville struck out 11 times.
Meanwhile, New Site made easy work of Baldwyn on Friday and carried off a 10-2 victory. Considering the Royals have won nine contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jayden Greene made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, New Site got a massive performance out of Rylan Stanley, who went 4-for-5 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Rilyn Lambert, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.
Pine Grove's record now sits at 9-7. As for New Site, their record is now 11-5.
Pine Grove came up short against New Site when the teams last played back in February of 2025, falling 5-1. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
