Baseball Recap: Red Hook's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Red Hook won the last time they faced Spackenkill and things went their way on Monday too. The Raiders blew past the Spartans 9-3. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six runs or more this season.

Dylan Dibble was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Karl Russell was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Red Hook kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spackenkill only managed seven hits.

The victory was the third in a row for Red Hook, bringing their record up to 6-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Spackenkill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Red Hook will venture away from home to face off against Highland at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Huskies have now posted at least ten runs in their last six contests. As for Spackenkill, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Rhinebeck at 4:15 p.m. The Spartans are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
