O'Fallon (Ill.) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 21-7 victory over
Alton (Ill.) on Saturday. The Panthers took the lead for good when
Camden Bauer thew a touchdown to
Tae'mon Franklin.
The Panthers led 6-0 at halftime, but the Redbirds regained the lead on a touchdown with 9:00 remaining in the fourth. O'Fallon finally took the lead for good when Bauer thew a touchdown to Franklin with 7:00 to go in the fourth quarter.
Alton's lone touchdown came on a 5-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 50-6 win for OF.
The loss comes after Alton defeated Cahokia 26-8 last week. The win was a nice bounce back for the Panthers, who lost to Loyola Academy last week, 44-20.
O'Fallon (2-1) will play a Southwestern game against East St. Louis next week, while Alton (1-2) will take on Edwardsville also in a Southwestern game.
