Dixon had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 22-run drubbing they dealt Natomas on Tuesday.  Dakota Gaball was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run.
 In other batting news,  Olivia Gomez was  incredible,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and one  triple. Those  four  runs gave  her a new career-high.  Itzel Cuellar also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
 Dixon was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .444. They are  a perfect 10-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Dixon is  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Natomas,  they are  on  an  11-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-15.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dixon will head out to  take on Casa Roble  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Casa Roble will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  game than the last. As for Natomas, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Rio Linda  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
