The Red Mountain Mountain Lions will face off against the Mountain View Toros at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Red Mountain beats Mountain View with 12 runs on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Mountain Lions put the hurt on Skyline with a sharp 12-1 victory on Thursday. The Mountain Lions haven't had any issues with the Coyotes recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Dylan Keith looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kale Thorson, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Derek Wilson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, while Mountain View put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Westwood. The Toros were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Warriors.
Mountain View also got a great performance from Austin Burr as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Kooper Klein was a standout: he scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Ryan Person was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Mountain View has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Red Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 17-4.
Red Mountain took their victory against Mountain View in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-1 score. Will the Mountain Lions repeat their success, or do the Toros have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
