The Seffner Christian Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 31 points or more this season. They blew past Cambridge Christian, posting a 88-26 win at home. That 88-26 margin sets a new team best for Seffner Christian this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seffner Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tauro Jenkins, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Jenkins also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Cameron Knox was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Cambridge Christian saw an underclassman step up: Caden Martinez scored ten points. Martinez scored a full 38.5% of Cambridge Christian's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Andy Richardson, who scored six points.
Seffner Christian's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.3 points per game. As for Cambridge Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
Seffner Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Foundation Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on December 16th. Foundation Christian Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.8 points per game. Cambridge Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Classical Prep at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. Classical Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
