The Atkins Camels will head out on the road to face off against the Northeast Guilford Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Atkins has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Tuesday, Atkins was able to grind out a solid win over Eastern Guilford, taking the game 47-39.
Meanwhile, Northeast Guilford was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 48-44 to Southeast Guilford. Northeast Guilford has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Atkins pushed their record up to 7-11 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Northeast Guilford, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.
Atkins came up short against Northeast Guilford in their previous matchup back in January, falling 38-32. Can Atkins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
