Toll Gate will look to defend their home turf on Saturday against Tiverton at 1:00 PM. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Toll Gate now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
Toll Gate ended up forfeiting their game against Bristol-Plymouth RVT 0-2 last Saturday. Toll Gate are ranked 36th in the MaxPreps state rankings (255 spots ahead of Bristol-Plymouth RVT), so the defeat was all the more frustrating.
As for Tiverton, they had a rough outing against Ponaganset two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Tiverton took the matchup and then some with a 60-14 win over Scituate. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Tiverton, who can brag about four blowout wins.
Tiverton's victory lifted them to 5-2 while Toll Gate's loss dropped them down to 3-4. We'll see if Toll Gate are able to find more success (and make for a more exciting contest than their last) when the teams meet up.
