Everett is 1-8 against East Lansing since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Everett Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the East Lansing Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Everett never let their opponents score. They really took it to Okemos for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-0 victory on the road. The result was nothing new for Everett, who have now won four matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, East Lansing entered their tilt with Grand Ledge with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. East Lansing enjoyed a cozy 35-21 victory over Grand Ledge on Friday.
Jace Clarizio had a dynamite game for East Lansing, rushing for 299 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.0 yards per carry. Clarizio was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.
Everett now has a winning record of 5-4. As for East Lansing, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2.
Everett was dealt a bruising 45-14 loss at the hands of East Lansing in their previous matchup back in September. Can Everett avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
