It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Chadwick Dolphins had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Santa Clarita Christian at home to the tune of 43-14. The victory was just business as usual for Chadwick, who after nine games remain undefeated this season.
It was another big night for Thomas Rosso, who threw for 175 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Another player making a difference was Joshua Goodman, who picked up 74 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Santa Clarita Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Cayden Rappleye and Eli Duhm. Rappleye rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown, while Duhm picked up 149 receiving yards and a touchdown. Duhm was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 65 yards.
Chadwick pushed their record up to 10-0 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 19.3 points. As for Santa Clarita Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.
Chadwick will head out on the road to face off against Avalon at 5:00 p.m. on November 11th. Avalon is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Santa Clarita Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
