Justin Leathers Delivers Best Performance of Season
Justin Leathers produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Southridge to the win on Friday. Leathers rushed for 177 yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 28 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making two total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending a pass.
The win (which was Southridge's third in a row) raised their record to 6-2. They and Forest Park are set to duel on Friday.

Boyd Made His Presence Known in Pike Central's 28-21 Loss
Pike Central was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Grant Boyd did his best to prevent it. Boyd was dynamite, rushing for 126 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.
On the year, Boyd has averaged 18.6 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had three rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 12.

North Posey had to settle for second on Friday, but Jed Galvin sure wasn't going down easily. Galvin turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 39 yards.
Galvin is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Pike Central on Friday. Galvin rushed for 187 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries the last time he and the Chargers duked it out back in October of 2023.
