The Jacobs Golden Eagles lost to the Dundee-Crown Chargers back in February, but the Jacobs Golden Eagles didn't allow the Dundee-Crown Chargers the same satisfaction on Friday. Jacobs came out on top against Dundee-Crown by a score of 50-43.
Jacobs was led to victory by Treval Howard and Ben Jurzak. Howard dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds, while Jurzak scored 24 points along with eight rebounds. The match was Jurzak's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Fessler, who scored eight points.
Jacobs' victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-6. As for Dundee-Crown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jacobs won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Prospect at 2:00 p.m. on December 16th. Prospect presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jacobs in Illinois (Prospect is ranked 98th, while Jacobs is ranked 350th). As for Dundee-Crown, they will head out on the road to face off against Wauconda at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
