Last Thursday, everything came up roses for Silas against Timberline as the team secured a 65-25 win.
Silas relied on the efforts of Carmayla Jackson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds, and Annique Smith, who went 8 for 11 en route to 17 points plus five assists and three steals. Smith is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sisalee Miller, who had eight points along with seven steals.
Meanwhile, Annie Wright ended up a good deal behind Adna on Saturday and lost 56-42.
The victory got Silas back to even at 1-1. As for Annie Wright, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Silas came up short against Annie Wright in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 49-36. Can Silas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
