Cienega is 2-7 against Catalina Foothills since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cienega Bobcats will host the Catalina Foothills Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Cienega is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Cienega will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Casa Grande on Wednesday. Cienega put the hurt on Casa Grande with a sharp 17-6 victory. The Bobcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

JAMES LINZMEYER was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Cienega is 2-1 when LINZMEYER posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise. ZAK VASQUEZ was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.
Cienega was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Casa Grande only posted a batting average of .261.
Meanwhile, Catalina Foothills had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 5-1.
Bryce Weege spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brady Jeong, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Parker Jacome, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
The win got Cienega back to even at 5-5. As for Catalina Foothills, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
