The Canton Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Towanda Black Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Canton has given up an average of 13.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Canton and Williamson, and Williamson kept the tradition alive. Canton fell 13-8 to Williamson on Tuesday.

Jaylee Ward made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Ward is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Trinity Acla was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, while Towanda put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Susquehanna. The Black Knights blew past the Sabers 10-0. With that victory, the Black Knights brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Brynsen Vargason was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Kynlee Kunkle also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Towanda was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Canton dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Towanda, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Canton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Towanda struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Canton might still be hurting after the 16-3 loss they got from Towanda in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
